215 HACKERS DEVELOP TECH SOLUTIONS FOR GIRLS’ AND WOMEN’S SAFETY AT CHIMEHACK 2

28 winners were selected from the group of more than 215 CHIMEHACK 2 participants, for developing innovative solutions promoting safety for girls and women. CHIMEHACK 2 was presented by CHIME FOR CHANGE and Twitter, with support from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, the Kering Foundation and Hearst Magazines and prize sponsors including Airbnb, Chegg, Docusign and Uber.

“It’s amazing to be working for my peers,” said Alina Rainsford, a member of an all-high-school team whose project slogan was ‘turn bystanders into upstanders.’ “I’m going to be a senior in high school, so the college topics are so relevant. We are just shocked – we’ve only been coding for five weeks!”
